It’s a beautiful sunny day, and you’re on your way to that well deserved vacation. You’re going on a cruise to sparkling Bermuda or Aruba, and the warm, turquoise waters of the Caribbean await your arrival. Visions of tropical drinks, and 7 days of total rest and relaxation is exactly what the doctor ordered. Suddenly the person ahead of you slams on their brakes you hear the screeching sound of your tires skidding and along with the sounds of your front end colliding with the vehicle in front your yours. Getting a Traffic Ticket Could Have Been Worse
Getting a citation for following too closely (or causing the crash) is not what you would consider as fun. Getting a ticket and running a red light, speeding, or improper lane change have consequences too especially if you caused a crash while performing such reckless driving maneuvers.
Additionally, the State of Florida does not want you to end up as a statistic. So brushing up on your driving skills while attending the TCAC (Traffic Collision Avoidance Course) 4-hour traffic school is actually a “good thing” that few states offer, but are catching on fairly quickly.
You Must Complete A TCAC Course IF You...
Not many licensed drivers are aware of the following: You must complete a 4-hour basic driver improvement course if you want to retain your driver license privilege if you have committed the following:
- Passed a stopped school bus or,
- You had two crashes in a two-year period, which resulted in property damage greater than $500 or,
- You were a driver in a crash and are found at fault and someone was transported to the hospital or,
- Was Highway Racing or Was a Highway Racing Spectator or for,
- Reckless Driving or for,
- Running a red light or traffic control device (such as a stop sign)
You will receive official notification (if you did not elect the 4 hour traffic school option) from the DHSMV to complete the TCAC otherwise known as the Traffic Collision Avoidance Course.
Why Should I Take The 4-Hour Traffic School Course Online?
